Ingrid Laubrock has been living in London for the past 15 years. She studied at the Guildhall School of Music with Stan Sulzman and Jean Toussaint and in the States with David Liebman. She has performed with Monica Vasconcelos' Nois, co-led the Brazilian quartet Nois4 for many years and performed with Django Bates' Human Chain, David Liebman, Kenny Wheeler, Norma Winstone and many more. She recorded two albums as a solo artist for Candid Records. Her third solo release 'Forensic' is now out on F-ir e Recorded Music.
Ben Davis studied at the Guildhall School Of Music and the Banff School of Fine Arts with Dave Holland.He has played with Django Bates, The Dufay Collective, Julian Joseph, Evan Parker, the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra and the R.S.C.
Barry Green also is a graduate of the Guildhall, studying with Simon Purcell and Martin Hathaway.He regularly performs with Tina May, Christine Tobin, Anita Wardell, Martin Speake, Bob Martin, Marc Lockheart and Martin Speake.
Larry Bartley has been a long term member of the Denys Baptiste Quartet and Byron Wallen's Indigo .He has also toured and recorded with Courtney Pine, Soweto Kinch , Alex Wilson, Jean Toussaint and Steve Grossman. Larry's first solo album 'Along this way' has resulted in his nomination for a 2004 BBC Jazz award in the 'Best new work' category.
Stuart Ritchie Born in Aberdeen,but relocating to Edinburgh,Stuart became the key musician in the cutting-edge underground scene centred on the cult Transporter Room, an improvised music / poetry / performance club run by two DJs.He has performed with Ethan Iverson, David Binney, Loren Stillman, Julian Arguelles, Warren Vache, Jesse Davis, Peter King, Jim Mullen, Dave Berkman, Gilad Atzmon, Eivind Opsvik and Brian Kellock, amongst others.He regularly plays with Trianglehead, Tom Arthurs Trio (Arthurs / Hoiby / Ritchie), Ingrid Laubrock Quintet, Colin Steele, Phil Bancroft Quartet and Graeme Stephen (trio and sextet).
